Background

Data centers are equipped with diesel generators to deal with power outages from the power grid. However, it takes a certain amount of time for the diesel generators to start after a power outage. Therefore, an uninterruptible power supply (UPS) needs to be installed to provide support for 15 minutes to ensure that the diesel generators can be started and switched in. This power supply uses lead-acid batteries as the storage medium. Since their service life is short, they need to be replaced frequently.
